Qatar Airways home base is the state of Qatar’s Hamad International Airport, which serves as an international airport. It took over as Qatar’s main airport from the adjacent Doha International Airport and is situated south of the country’s capital, Doha.

Rooms for Smokers

 

Hamad International Airport is a totally non-smoking facility in order to provide a smoke-free environment for passengers and employees. E-cigarette smoking is also prohibited within the terminal. Smoking areas with smoke extractors and comfortable sitting are offered throughout the passenger terminal for the benefit of our guests. Follow the instructions, go to the nearest information desk, or use our airport map to find one.

 

ATMs

 

The passenger terminal is filled with ATMs, many of which can issue money in different currencies. They are accessible both at the arrivals level, before or after customs checkpoint, and at the departures level, both before and after immigration. Use our airport map to find the closest one, or go up to an information counter.

 

Foreign Currency Exchange

Six foreign exchange shops are now positioned throughout the passenger terminal structure. Airport’s   foreign Exchange operator (Travelex) converts over 40 different currencies:

 

• Check-in area for departures – near the end of check-in Row 7
• Departures (South Node) – in the direction of Concourse B
• Baggage claim area at arrivals – near the end of Belt 3
• Meet and greet section in the arrivals hall (adjacent to Al Maha Lounge)
• Arrivals (Concourse C) – between gates C1 and C2
• Departures (North Node) – at the beginning of Concourse D

Prayer rooms for everyone

Throughout the passenger terminal, there are large prayer rooms. They have separate sections for men and women, as well as distinct restrooms.

 

Simply follow the signs, inquire at an information desk, or use our airport map to locate one near you.

 

If you’re leaving Hamad International Airport, you might alternatively pray in the public mosque located immediately outside the passenger terminal, a short walk from the Departures Hall. The mosque’s construction is inspired by the shape of a water droplet, and it gives stunning views of the lagoon and Amiri Terminal.

In a designated section of the passenger terminal, service desks from a number of hotels are accessible for your convenience.

 

Qatar has a broad selection of hotels to meet various requirements and interests, whether you have made an advance reservation or intend to do so when you arrive. To get to the hotel service desk area, which is on the ground floor next to the Short Term Car Park, simply follow the signage, seek assistance at an information desk, or use our airport map. The W Doha Hotel & Residences is Doha’s first lifestyle hotel and the Middle East’s first W. The hotel’s three award-winning trademark restaurants are Market by Jean-Georges, Spice Market, and La Spiga by Paper Moon, all of which are located in the center of the city. It has a W Café and two lounges, the region’s first Bliss® Spa, a FIT Fitness Centre, a WET deck pool area, and almost 1,000 square meters of state-of-the-art meeting and event space.

 

Hotel Transfers Are Free

 

Some hotels may provide a complimentary shuttle bus transport from the airport to the hotel. Please confirm availability while booking your reservation.

Wireless internet connection is available for free throughout our passenger terminal. Sign in by searching for “HIAQatar Complimentary WiFi” on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer.

 

Free Internet Kiosks and Workstations

 

Our internet kiosks and workstations, which are equipped with displays and keyboards, provide free web browsing. The kiosks are scattered around the terminal (including the boarding gate areas). There are also workstations at each of our five activity nodes. Approach an information desk or use our airport map to find the one closest to you.

 

Booths for making calls

 

By obtaining a prepaid calling card from Qatar Duty Free, you may call anywhere in the globe. There are telephone booths positioned throughout the passenger terminal (including the boarding gate areas).

Strollers for Infants

 

More than 500 baby strollers are accessible around Hamad International Airport for the convenience of customers traveling with small children. Arriving and transfer travelers may locate strollers on all arrival gates and during arrival immigration, while departing passengers can find them right beyond departures immigration.

 

Rooms for Parents

 

The parent’s rooms at the airport allow you to care for your newborn in solitude and comfort. Water/milk warmers and diaper change stations are available. Parents’ rooms are provided at various spots around the passenger terminal. Follow the instructions, go to the nearest information desk, or use our airport map to find one.

 

EMERGENCY & MEDICAL Services

 

The passenger terminal is served by two medical facilities. One is in the Arrivals hall, close to passport control, while the other is in the Departures hall, close to check-in. Simply utilize our airport map, inquire at an information desk, or follow the signs to get where you need to go.
